Warren Controls, a newly aquired subsidiary of ARI Armaturen, is a mid-size specialty valve manufacturer in the Bethlehem, PA area and is currently looking for a Director of Finance and HR with the demonstrated skills for career advancement.  

ARI-Armaturen is a leading international developer, manufacturer and distributor of valves as well as complementary services linked to the control, isolation, safety and steam trapping of liquid and gaseous media.

Job duties

This newly created position will be responsible for the general administration functions of the company, especially including finance & accounting, controlling and HR, including payroll. This position will be responsible for: 

  • Month-end closure 
  • Internal and external reporting and interpretation of financial results
  • Interaction with external parties related to finance & administration
  • Annual cost budgeting and subsequent controlling, investment calculations
  • Controlling of key performance indicators of the company
  • HR management & payroll
  • Working directly with our CEO and owners in Germany on operating and strategic projects/goals  

This new role will report to the CEO and provide expert guidance to our functional VP's of  Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Your profile

This is a newly-created position, which will require a minimum of 5-7 years of management accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of financial statements, GAAP, banking, budgeting, and experience leading the monthly accounting close. The ideal candidate has demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team. This position will work closely with our owners in Germany as well as our other US counterpart in Texas.  CPA certificate is a plus.     

Candidates should have excellent work habits and communication skills, including verbal and written presentations to senior management, a team-oriented approach with strong leadership skills, and be adept at multi- tasking.  This position requires an analytical mindset and strong organization skills with a knowledge of business trends and management decision impacts on profitability.  Recent experience in an ERP environment (Epicor ERP) is a plus, and strong skills in Microsoft 365 are required; Experience with ADP Payroll is a plus.
